Having Healthy Teeth as You Age

Posted .

As you age, the wear and tear on your teeth can increase – unless you are actively working to keep your smile shining. As you age, keep your smile spectacular with great oral health care. Here are some tips:

First, remember the basics: brush your teeth at least twice a day and be sure to floss once a day – preferably in the evening. If you find that your grip or physical coordination is weakening, consider switching to an electric toothbrush and a water flosser. These tools are easier to use. Look for products with the ADA Seal of Acceptance or talk with Dr. Kevin Solis about what he recommends.

If you have an addiction to chewing tobacco or smoking, your teeth will remain at a much higher risk of failure. And with each passing year, the risks will multiply exponentially. It’s time to do everything you can to quit. Talk to Dr. Kevin Solis about a cessation program.

If you take good care of your teeth, they can last a lifetime.
